The National Archives was established on 1 June 1988 following the consolidation of the State Paper Office (SPO) and the Public Record Office of Ireland (PROI). It is responsible for the permanent preservation of records of state, including legal, historical, and genealogical records.
Ellis & Ellis regularly attend at the National Archives and offer search services for such matters as court records, testamentary records (Wills, grants of probate, and schedules of assets), and for genealogical/ family history research purposes.
We also provide a bespeaking service and can take up official documents as required.
